Nicolò Bulega delivered another perfect weekend at the Portimão round, second stop of the 2026 Superbike World Championship. The Aruba.it Racing – Ducati rider won Race 1, the Superpole Race, and Race 2, leading 50 out of 50 laps — total domination on the Algarve International Circuit.

In Superpole he snatched pole from team-mate Iker Lecuona on the final lap, gapping him by 0.142 seconds. In Race 1 he controlled the race from the first corner, with Lecuona second and Miguel Oliveira (BMW) claiming his first WorldSBK podium in front of his home crowd. The Superpole Race saw Bulega pull 1.882 seconds clear of Lecuona, with Oliveira again third.

In Race 2 the script didn't change: Bulega completed the sweep with Lecuona second, writing a piece of history. Bulega and Lecuona became the first pairing to finish 1-2 in Superpole and in all three races of a weekend in the history of the Superbike World Championship.

"I'm proud to be part of the history we made. The team's work is incredible and the Panigale V4R is perfect", Bulega commented.

After two rounds, six wins from six races. The march towards the world title continues unstoppable.
